Social Security Number Validation by Mail
For batch processing of your files at our processing center
Our mail-in service offers processing of files containing social
security numbers for customers preferring not to run the Veris
software on their own computer systems or to connect on line
to our secure server. Customers send their files to us in a variety
of data and media formats. Data
sent to us is handled with complete confidentiality. It is not
released to anyone and once we have been notified that you have
received the report and are satisfied with the results, the data
is erased entirely from our systems.
The time needed to process your file is usually 24 hours or less.
Once your date is processed, we produce a report containing the
information requested. For basic social security number (SSN) validation
processing the report would detail which SSNs are questionable
and why, as well as which numbers belong to persons reported deceased
and which numbers were never issued at all. The extract of SSNs
of persons reported deceased will include the name, date of birth,
date of death and zip code to where Social Security Administration
benefits were being sent or to where a lump sum payment was mailed
by the SSA. For SSN Trace, ID Verification, Patriot Act Compliance,
OFAC screening or locating the former address for deceased persons
additional data sets are appended. This additional data can include:
Name, date of birth, phone number, address, former addresses, OFAC
and SDN screening.
